Celebrating creativity, community, and handmade donuts — one weekend at a time.
Delicious Donuts Inc began in 2021, born out of a simple idea: what if fresh, handmade donuts could bring a little bit of joy to people during a hard time?
I was 11 years old, stuck at home during the pandemic, and decided to bring a tray of mini cake donuts to the park and sell them for 50 cents each. It was cold, close to Christmas, and the moment I set the tray down, people swarmed around me asking for all kinds of flavors. That moment changed everything. I didn’t just want to bake, I wanted to build something.
Through that first winter, I taught myself how to make yeast-raised donuts. I tested batch after batch until I finally got it right. On March 6th, 2022, I brought yeast donuts to the streets for the first time. It wasn’t perfect yet, but people kept coming back. Last summer, I built my first donut cart from scratch. Since then, I've been out in the Lower East Side every weekend (and 3 times a week during summer), serving homemade donuts to my neighbors, friends, and visitors from all over the city.
Now at 14, I still run the cart myself, and every donut is made by hand — glazed, filled, fried, and finished with real ingredients. I experiment with new flavors each season, like Mango Lassi in spring or Peaches Paradise in the summer. Some donuts are inspired by my favorite memories. Some are just wild ideas that somehow work.
What makes us special
Delicious Donuts Inc isn’t just a cart or a menu. Every donut is homemade with care, with real ingredients and flavors that change through the seasons. But what makes it most special? It’s a one-person show. From mixing dough to choosing specials, from building the cart to running the Instagram, it’s all me.
And I’m just getting started.
